Elden Ring’s difficulty is no joke. I got frustrated within the first day of my digital purchase and got a refund. I
I might have given it more of a chance, but with the rules on asking for refunds for digital games (no ‘significant’ amount of time playing, etc) - I felt I needed to rather than get saddled with a $80+ purchase of a game I might end up not playing.
All of a sudden I am imagining a situation where the game maker has to specify how many hours of gameplay “are included” in their game and when you request a refund you get it prorated. That would be an interesting conundrum for game makers, they want you to believe their games are highly replayable (without being repetitive) and so want a high number for number of hours of gameplay and yet they would want a small number for this situation if many people came looking for refunds. 6 hours of play if they say it’s only 8 would mean a 25% refund whereas 6 hours of 200 would mean a 97% refund.
