Regarding the automatic translations. They are pretty dire at the moment.
My wife doesn’t speak English and we were looking at a recipe on YouTube for oat flakes with dates (the fruit). My wife walked off in disgust when the automatically translated video started talking about pureeing the appointments…

Clearly, the word has become entrenched. That’s fine for Cory; the Craphound has always been colorful with his words. I did wonder what sort of problems he created for his kids when they were similarly free with their language in public. Maybe he home-schooled.
Speaking German every day and being mildly dyslexic, the word was confusing for me. I kept reading it as enshittification (missing the first “t”) “En” in German means de- in English, so I kept reading it as the removal of shittification… I had to go back and re-read it a few time, before it made sense.

I hope Twitch doesn’t die. I pay for Turbo so I can watch without ads, and I’ll keep streams open all day as background noise while I’m working. AGDQ was live for a week on Twitch and they just raised 2 million for charity!

I’m pretty sure that the was federation on! Bluesky is different then the fediverse. It’s more like Tim Burners Lee’s Solid.
On Wikipedia, I generally agree that The Heritage Foundation would probably do a terrible job but Wikipedia does have a major antisemitism/anti-israel problem there’s research on it.
