Another great episode, despite some truly awful dad jokes! One small, but I think interesting, correction. During the Voyager news item, Rod stated that the Voyagers ‘still move further away every second’. Assuming Rod means further away from us on Earth (and his next sentence states the distance from Earth), this is not actually true. Fast though the Voyagers are moving, the Earth moves round its orbit almost twice as fast! This means that for part of every year, Earth actually catches up to the Voyagers and the distance between us temporarily decreases. I’m sure Rod knows this, but I think it is worth mentioning this to put the speed of the Voyagers into a cosmic context.
