What a cool show topic! I have to share in your disdain for the Moonfall movie. Between the err… elastic interpretation of gravity and the bizarre shuttle launch it was just an all out cringefest.
Was trying to think of my first introduction to the idea of a space megastructure. It’s gotta be the Death Star although ten year old me didn’t really recognize it as such. The TNG episode on Dyson sphere was probably the first time I’d really considered the concept of a megastructure.
Anyway, great guest! Now I have another YouTube rabbit hole to fall down into.
