Speaking as someone who lives in a home with multiple floors, and a 4-step level difference between the front and back parts of the property, I’m not keen on a follower robot, but it seems like it would have to be able to climb stairs. But that’s also kind of creepy at best, or even threatening, especially if it can climb stairs faster than a human. I might avoid being creeped out if it could only climb stairs at the speed of a very elderly person with arthritis while holding on to the wall and making occasional noises of effort. Maybe.
Oh, and make sure it is totally incapable of carrying a knife in those appendages, because the idea of being followed up the stairs by a robot carrying a knife is the stuff of nightmares.
