The Photo Thread: Week of 2020-02-09

A strange afternoon. Warm and humid, but tons of clouds around. Fire sparked up near our place and emergency services kicked into gear with amazing speed.

Here’s one of their planes headed into the fire. Shot on Pixel 4, edited in Snapseed

Don’t you have a shot of the Downy with the PB stuck to the rough of his beak?

Yes that is what the pic is.I am in Northern Ontario and they are all over the place. The sanctuary puts out seed and peanuts for the bird and smears peanut butter on the parking post the bird was about 8 feet from me as I sat in my car

Looks like a trillium. The provincial flower of the province of Ontario. They don’t smell as pretty as they look

Some people commented how the Ontario government logo’s stylized version of the trillium looked like 3 people in a hot tub.

It’s actually 2020-02-16 here, but understand those in the US are behind the times

Anyway, taken earlier this week in the evening down at Port Noarlunga, South Australia.

was COLD out there. So windy. Pretty scene and a pretty scary scene because of the powerful waves and sharks.

P.S. you’re on last week’s thread.

Lol! BREEZY as the ocean pounded us with wind and blasted us with sand. Wasn’t pleasant. Maybe mid 50F after the winds. Was over 70F before getting there.
