@JasonHowell sounds like you will need to be careful if you get a OnePlus 10 Pro for testing.
To be fair, they use a lot more force than will usually be exerted on a phone under normal use.
If you regularly put the phone in your back pocket and then sit on it, you might want to buy something else - or check your pockets, before sitting…
And, it broke/bent in two, not in half (referring to the article), if it bent in half, it would bend in the middle, it bends towards the top, under the camera mounting, as far as I can tell. /Pendant 
Just watched the video, pretty poor showing, although it only broke after he bent it one way and back the other way.
Reminds me of a problem we had with Transit vans at work. There’s a pocket the perfect size for a smartphone as you get in…until you slam the door.
