A very interesting piece from The Register. Is AI taking away our ability to communicate nuances, when it “helps” us write text by flattening the curve for more simplistic form that maximises statistical probability over actual meaning?
Yes, and when AI starts training on its own (or more likely others of its ilk) output, it will very quickly squeeze all variety out of all sentences it can… leading to statistically average and incredibly boring results.
