I wish Leo would stop ranting against people talking about AI slop. The sad truth if, for every Aisle out there, there are hundreds, if not thousands of cases of pure slop being churned out.
Aisle might be doing an incredible job with using AI in their research and using to produce high quality documentation, but others are doing rudimentary AI scans and shoving poorly documented bug reports that they have no idea about, so when they are asked to expand on the submission, they haven’t a clue what the AI found.
It is the same for video, images etc. For every useful and worthwhile use of AI, such as Paul Thurrott using it for his article hero images, there are thousands of cases of absolute slop.
That is the problem, and it is a real problem. Slop is a real problem and it if giving AI a bad name with many people. No matter what AI enthusiasts say, about nay-sayers being Luddites, the world is drowning, or given the amount of water AI uses and heat it generates, maybe it is burning under the weight of the slop people are producing.

If Steve would like to do away with the femtocell, someone should remind him that both Android and iOS have settings to make cell phone calls over Wi-Fi. I do not know if there are other reasons to operate a personal cell tower in your own home, but to be able to make a call hasn’t been a reason for some time now.
