I have seen that WalMart sells one WITH the Samsung keyboard included. But, it is like $600 or so.
I have already mentioned this on a couple of threads in the Chrome section already… I was going to buy an S4 as well, but I had a problem with the price… I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet that I love, but the mini version of the S2 cannot be hooked to a TV via HDMI. So, I wanted something new. I thought the DEX system was pretty cool, too…
I ended up buying a HP Chromebook X2. It is a Chromebook that works like a Microsoft surface… Basically a tablet - or you can attach a keyboard. The cool thing is that it COMES with the keyboard already.
Now, I have 2 other laptops and a desktop - I bought it to use solely as a tablet. So, I keep the keyboard in a drawer. But, it is there if you want it.
Best Buy closed them out over the summer. But, Best Buy had sold them 1 day for $399. I missed that, because I did not even know the device existed until after that day. But, I checked the daily deals on Best Buy everyday for like 2 months. They did it again for $200 off, and I got it for $399. You can even hook a mouse to it, if you want to use it like a traditional computer…
I like that it has the complete, desktop version of the Chrome browser, instead of the android version. But, you can run a lot of android apps on a Chromebook.
HP did a terrible job in the places it sold this - illustrating that it detaches from the keyboard. When you look at the 1 photo included on any website selling it - it never shows this feature.
BestBuy no longer sells it, but Amazopn and HP sells it. HP charges more - I saw it for just over $450 a week ago…
There is also only ONE case for it - if you want it…
And here is the page on Amazon:
I like this think a lot. I keep it in my work bag - it is a tablet, but also an entire PC. The only negative to son is that it is a 12" tablet. I like it. My son claims it is too big…
