I’m uploading around 1 TB of data from an external drive to my OneDrive storage space. Is there a progress bar or something else that will tell me the time remaining in the upload?
If you’re using the web interface there should be progress bars in the top right area. If you’re using the desktop application, you should be able to check any transfer status in the tray icon.
OneDrive shows the progress of each individual file upload, not the overall progress (like you see in File Explorer when you copy a batch of files). I don’t think there’s a way to show what you want.

Turns out that I had to reinstall OneDrive because I’m using Windows 10, not Windows 11. And I was also able to add OneDrive to my file explorer without downloading existing content (which is good because my laptop doesn’t have enough hard drive space for that). So now I’m doing a batch upload of files from my external drive to OneDrive and it’s all working as it should.
How do I mark this thread solved or closed?
