MBW 833: Beard Tectonics

I love Paul’s for the consumer viewpoint on many things. But I feel his criticism is usually fair. He Thurrants may sometimes go on a little longer than one would care for but he’s kinda the only real tech reporter that I see trying to hold companies feet to the fire.

Yes, he is very much out of his depth, when it switches to professional use of Windows. But his viewpoint, from the consumer side is usually spot on, just that his lack of knowledge of the business side means he sometimes draws the wrong conclusion about why Microsoft does a certain thing, but it isn’t that often, and he is usually correct from a consumer viewpoint, if not from an overall viewpoint.

I think Paul and Andy would be the better pairing. I don’t see anything constructive coming out of a Thurrott<>Gruber face-off.
