If I can add my gym membership to apple wallet that would be really nice. I know there’s already ways to do it (I’ve seen people do it) but I don’t really like to mess with 3rd party apps that often.

In the US, the Costco app lets people use a widget for their costco card. That feature is unavailable in Canada. I would love to have my costco card inside apple wallet.

Jason recently announced he’s ending his podcast Downstream and I’m super bummed out about that. I really loved that show.

I have a number of feelings about Tim Cook stepping down, and I think Christina articulated all of them well. The slimy nature of his obsequiousness toward the current US President not the least among them.

I am only 42 min into the show, so these sentiments have already have been covered, but I am still angry over the Epic trial and Apple’s outright lies to a federal judge. Not only did Tim sign off on that choice, but I think his relentless drive to maximize revenue at all costs created the environment that allowed choices like that to ferment and be considered. He also allowed the ICE apps to be removed while leaving X on at a time when Grok was (and may still be) blatantly allowing the creation of child and adult pornography. Elizabeth Lopatto of the Verge called him (and Sundar Pichai, but we’re talking about Tim here) a spineless coward, and that damning indictment has not been proved false. There are other things, but those recent events are enough to be going on with.

I don’t know John Ternus from any of the other Johns or Jonny’s that proliferate the Apple landscape. If I have any wish for his tenure - it’s that he makes Apple worthy again of the trust so many people place in it.
