I’m listening to the episode now, so I’ll update this post as I listen if I have stuff to say.

In preparation for Jason being on Jeopardy I learned where to stream Jeopardy in Canada! It’s on Crave, which is the only TV streaming service I pay for.

My Apple The First 50 Years book arrived today.

When I see people wearing AirPods Max in the real world (specially here in Canada, where they cost a fortune) I profile them and judge them. I don’t like that I do this, but I do. I don’t think I’d let that judgement change how (nicely!!!) I treat them; but I do judge.

I use a Mac for work and we’re all on Tahoe. I don’t see liquid glass in my day to day life of macOS. Mind you, I use mostly M365 apps. My biggest issue is the super rounded corners. My Macbook Air 15” isn’t an iPad or iPhone with an ultra rounded screen.

Jason mentioned the Studio Neat Mark One clicker pen. That’s also my go-to pen! I love the clicker on that thing. Although it’s currently out of ink and I’ve been a bit (read: very) lazy to get that replaced. I’ll probably do it in the spring time when I don’t need to use transit to get to the store.

I didn’t used to stick around until the end of the show, but then I realized Leo always ends with “now get back to work” and I look forward to that so I stick around

A summary of Jason’s [first?] episode on Jeopardy! is now available on The Jeopardy Fan. Please avoid discussing the contents of that spoiler page here until after the show has aired. The current champion Jamie Ding exceeded two statistical measures that Ken Jennings established during his legendary run. Note: there are also spoilers in that link. Cave clicatorem!

I watched Jason on Jeopardy this morning, and I have to say: I’m not smart enough for this game.

I agree, I watch Jeopardy daily. Sometimes I rock it, sometimes I cower. From my viewpoint, Jason held his own during the game. Yes, he didn’t win, but I wouldn’t call his appearance an embarrassment.

It’s tough when competing against a Jeopardy! contestant that’s showing signs of becoming a super-champion! All 3 players were very good.

Jason jumped into thejeopardyfan . com discussion; he put a couple of comments on the game summary article for Thursday, 19 March 2026. Unfortunately, you have to register for a [free] account to see comments. The person running that website has some strange ideas about managing discussions. I can’t quite imagine the point of forcing people to register to even view comments; that tends to limit your audience.

I did want to give Jason some pushback for not getting the Blackberry question. I desperately hope that he just got beaten to the buzzer on that one! IIRC, the other challenger hit the Daily Double immediately after answering that question (AKA questioning that answer). That was a major moment (or at least a minor moment) in the game’s flow.
