When Mikah was describing the Sleek Socket, I was thinking, “huh? That describes most of the standard plugs we have in the house!” Only the USB chargers stick out, most of the rest angle the cable straight down at the floor, this was also true in the UK, when I lived there, the plugs were fairly flat and the cable came out the bottom and went straight down the wall.

This may be more true internationally but most of my cables USB included stick straight out of the wall. The only things I can think that are flat and point in one direction or the other is a TV cord for an LG TV and I have a Surge Protector that’s flat and the cable points in a downward right side position away from other outlets. USA based here.
