I’m always wowed by Matthew’s technical expertise when it come to mastering iOS, especially shortcuts. However, I couldn’t see having all these focus modes. It seems like you would be spending an inordinate amount of time on your phone, just changing your status, looking for the status you want to switch to, and just thinking about which focus mode would be appropriate for what you are doing. Not to mention the amount of time it takes to set all those up.

Focus modes are a weird mix of very complex but not powerful enough. Will need to catch up on this episode at some point to find out if I’m missing anything.
I find the automation settings make using focus modes quite a bit simpler as I don’t have to manually switch modes, it automatically does so based on the scenario I’m in at the moment (mainly location for me)
