I’ll be interested to see what Alex has to say about this on MacBreak Weekly this week. The more I look at the high end MacBook Pros, the more I realise I really don’t need a high-end Mac any more. For the bit of amateur photo editing I do, the Mac mini will be more than enough, for now.

Having just read Anandtech’s detailed review of the M1 Pro and Max I am actually happy I bought the base model. The chief difference is in the number of GPU cores (well and L2 cache and RAM). But the base model M1 Pro will be more than enough for me. Twice the speed of my current M1.
