I agree on the Drobo advice. I went from a Drobo to a Synology and it felt as if I went from the 20th to the 21 century. Using a device to backup your data where the file system is proprietary, the company is defunct, and the hardware isn’t supported is a recipe for disaster. You’re just begging to lose data.
