Help me choose fast external storage for my Mac Studio

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had experience with OWC’s line of thunderbolt SSD enclosures. I realize this won’t be AS fast as the internal drives, but ideally something that I could potentially put my parallels VMs on, and some game files without too much of a slowdown?

Eying the OWC Express 4M2 unit, without raid software and using Apple’s software raid. It looks fairly affordable.

I was going to pair this with Solidigm P44 NVME SSDs.

Thoughts?

Can’t speak to the enclosure, but the Solidigm Pro line chips are fire. Although it doesn’t apply to your use case, their developments on the software side are particularly impressive.
