Hate touchpads?

I use the trackpad on my laptop usually only if I’m out at like a coffee shop or if I’m on the couch. My laptop is touch screen, so often times in Starbucks I’ll use that versus the trackpad. I normally use a Microsoft Wireless mouse 3500. Seems to work pretty well for me and what I use it for.

Yes, you can be just as accurate with a touchpad or touchscreen, but you can’t be as fast if you are trying to be accurate at the same time. The mouse allows you to be both, and its a more repeatable method with less accidental clicks. But its hard to draw with a mouse. The mouse is a tool just like every other tool. Its nice having access to the right tool for each job. All methods have their applications.

I rarely used them until the last MacBook that I got which had the big giant touchpad. Now I use it as often as the mouse and like it quite a bit.

The new layout requires some practice to use comfortably. That was the only complaint I ever heard.

I do like the new MacBooks with the touch bar as well.
