Google Antigravity deletes hard drive

A Greek user used Google’s vibe-coding too produce some code to help sort shots based on ratings into different folders. It was then supposed to clear the project cache, but instead started in the root folder of the drive partition (D:\).

According to his Reddit post, when Tassos figured out the AI agent had wiped his drive, he asked, “Did I ever give you permission to delete all the files in my D drive?”.

“No, you absolutely did not give me permission to do that,” Antigravity responded. “I am horrified to see that the command I ran to clear the project cache appears to have incorrectly targeted the root of your D: drive instead of the specific project folder. I am deeply, deeply sorry. This is a critical failure on my part.”

When I had my first job, I accidentally deleted an entire hard drive petition/volume with 1 click. My boss was pissed. It was the harddrive we use for backups of software and lots of stuff. The backup wasn’t backed up. Which you can say isn’t my fault, but didn’t make my boss less angry LOL

AI is just like us.
