Right now there is a bug in the recently released BitWarden extension for Firefox. If you have many open tabs, when you authenticate (log in) to the extension it will hang your browser and possible fully crash it. It’s a known issue ( https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/issues/15899 ), and a fix is in the pipeline. If you need to revert back to the previous version you can download it from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/bitwarden-password-manager/versions/ just make sure you then set the extension on its Firefox extension page from auto-update to no update, for now, and then remember to check in the future and change it back once a newer version comes out.

The BitWarden 2025.7.1 Firefox extension seems to be available, if anyone else was having the problem with the hang they should be able to update now. (Don’t forget to reset the auto-update if you turned it off.)
