I recently posed the following question to Apple support.
I want to export my keychain data to a csv file. It seems the only way I can do this is on a Mac computer.
I only own an iPad, iPhone and a Windows 10 computer. So I’m going to have to do this on my brother’s MacBook Air.
Can you please send me instructions to do the following:
- Temporarily disable my brother’s iCloud account on his computer
- Temporarily log into my iCloud account on his computer
- Export my keychain data to a csv file.
- Log out of my iCloud account on his computer
- Log my brother back into his iCloud account on his computer
Thank you
The rep provided me instructions on exporting keychain data.
I responded with
Thank you for the instructions of how to export the data.
I’m doing this on my brother’s computer. So I want my keychain data, not his. How do I log him out of his iCloud account temporarily and then log into my iCloud account? And then how does he get back to his iCloud account once I’ve finished my export?

You will sign in on the device itself and then once you are done you will have your bother sign back in with theres. Make sure they have there information backed up through Time Machine on a external drive before you sign into there Mac though
This last part scares me a bit. Am I better off just renting time on a virtual Mac to do this? I obviously don’t want to mess up my brother’s MacBook!
