- 3000A (Fallout 3 / 2008) – official Bethesda release
The 3000A (Fallout 3) was just released. I was not particularly a fan of Bethesda’s 3000 Mark IV (Fallout 4) official release for that model, I’m not sure why..
The 3000A is nice, though – I think the internals are just more advanced and it feels less slapped-together than the 3000 Mark IV did back when it was released in 2015. It is a decade later!

And no, I’m not ever going on the Discord. I deleted my Discord account before I started writing Stay Gold, America because it was such a constant distraction. Give me Signal or give me Death!
Discord is an OK company, it’s just the chat-all-the-things center of their model is SO messed up. Chat never scales, and it works best when it’s disposable / forgettable.

This is pretty much where I am. discord can work when watching or dealing with something live as real time matters there, otherwise it’s a mess and I hate. Love forums for that reason. i can put time aside go check out things I care about and move on.
It’s always amazing to me that the one place where forums have been thriving since the 90s has been around college sports, and a few places have tried to go to Discord and quickly went back. Huge companies like CBS (own 247 sports) etc make a ton of communities based on forums.
