CES 2020 pre show event

Ran into Mr Merritt, Miss Lane, Mr Wilkinson, Mr Tofel and others today. :slightly_smiling_face: And I also ate at Binions for lunch.

I read an article years ago about carpet at a specific airport and other locations being highly popular. There might be a whole website somewhere dedicated to that carpet

The content was great. But what are y’all shooting with? That focus pull was a bit hard to watch.

Dragon Con still has a ton of people making costumes with the Marriott carpet pattern even though the carpet was replaced several years ago.

I think we got the video settings fixed up now. Thanks for the feedback, though. :fist_right:t5::tumbler_glass:

Sweet. I’ll put the rest on at work today.

All my fault - I apologize. I was shooting wide open (f1.4) with auto-focus and about halfway thorough I realized what was happening and stopped down.

In general, all our CES coverage is pretty rough thanks to my decision to use a Sony A7RIV and shooting it myself. I was trying to go light. I think we did get some good stuff - I hope it’s worth bearing with the rough spots!

Next time we’ll go back to using pros!

You did get some good stuff, a lot of good stuff. It was only the auto-focus and shallow depth of field at the beginning that was below par. Once that was fixed it was great and had a spontaneity that might have been difficult to match with a crew added. Don’t abandon the light approach unless you’re really sure it doesn’t meet your standards.
