Can I use a qr scanner with my laptop to scan qr codes on software

HI how are things going on this fine day. I was wanting someone to help me figure out how I can use a windows laptop to see if I can scan a qr code on a an piece of software like whats app or signal. I do not have an iphone or any software on my laptop to scan a qr code on some software that I have on main screen on my laptop right now. I do not have a windows phone either. and I only have internet access on my laptop.

Are their any free software that might do the following in the Microsoftapp store.

I have a dell laptop with a built in camera
i am using an Inspiron 7706 2N1

Windows 11

home edition

64 bit operating system

Thanks

Usually, if a code is displayed, there is an option for “I can’t scan the code” or similar (E.g. setting up a One Time Password on most websites) and the app will show you the text version of the code.

I know the major password vault products will grab a QR code from your screen when doing stuff like setting up MFA.

If your scenario is beyond that I think you’ll need an application that will read a QR code from an image file. I did a search on the Microsoft app store and found this one - QR Code Scanner - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store. I haven’t used Windows in a while so I can’t speak to its quality.

I don’t think anyone has a Windows phone
