Just learned of the passing of Bob Heil, legendary sound guy, ham radio mentor, and good friend.

Bob hosted our show “Ham Nation” for ten years and we’ve been using his PR-40 mics exclusively on TWiT ever since I met him at the second Podcast Expo in 2006.

RIP Bob. A great man. You will be missed. But at least the Heavenly Choir will sound a lot better now.

Always sorry to see one of ‘us’ going off air…‘silent key’. Didn’t know his call or would probably have seen him in Silent Keys—QST magazine.
