Best case for an iPhone 17 Pro Max 17? I like to keep the device in my pocket.
It depends on what sort of case you want? Minimal, maximum protection, wallet style? Clear or coloured? What material?
I usually go with the Spigen clear cases (Torros and others make similar cases) and a Spigen armoured screen protector, again other brands, like Torros make similar ones. The advantage of the Spigen and Torros screen protectors is that they come with an applicator, which makes putting the screen protector on child’s play.
I had a Spigen case and protector on my iPhone 13 Pro and when I upgraded to a 16 Pro and gave the 13 Pro to my eldest daughter, because her iPhone X didn’t have any memory left and the battery was weak, she said it looked like it was brand new. I have the same combination on the 16 Pro and it still looks like it was just unboxed. I carry it around in my jean’s pocket or jacket pocket every day and it goes into the charging adapter on my bike and acts as the screen for the onboard computer for the bike (Bosch Kiox series). When it rains heavily, I take the iPhone out of the case and dry it off and I probably uncase it every few months and get rid of accumulated dust, during the summer.
Another happy Spigen Ultra user here on both iPhones and Android. One neat feature is that when you have the torch on, it illuminates the whole case on mine (Pixel 9a). You get a ring light effect from the front, also easy to notice when the torch is on by accident.
Used these for years. The only wear I’ve noticed, which was on a Samsung S22, was the anodised colour frame faded where the cut-outs for ports were, but not the bits covered by the case. Looked odd when it wasn’t in the case. Assume that’s UV doing that, and not really a fault of the case.
I have always rawdogged my phone but this year I’m considering using a case. I don’t know how much I trust aluminum compared to the steel/titanium of my previous phones. I haven’t used an aluminum iPhone since my first one (6S Plus).
The apple cases with the loop really interest me. I like the idea of having my phone not in my pocket.
