I have a few of those SanDisk Extreme portable SSDs. V1 SATA ones though, the firmware updates seem to be for the newer V2 SATA and NVMe ones.
Currently being used as extended storage on a PlayStation, and used for lots of photo stuff before that for years. Have been reliable.
