Recently I switched to using some Open Source Apps for my Android Phone.
I found a great Alternative to replace Googles Default Apps called Fossify. The Apps are all available in the Google Play Store.
If you want Bloat free & Privacy.
I use Fossify Phone,Messages,Contacts Calendar,File Manager & Gallery. All Free & Without Adds.
After going through the settings for Phone & File Manager I noticed that there were some things missing, So I found their email address & made them aware of it.
In the Phone App the Calling Account Setting was missing. In the File Mantger App there was no option to Default to the SD Card when starting up, it always defaulted to Internal. I save everything to my SD Card.
They did not respond to me by email, however what really impressed me was the fact that after a few days there was an update to the Phone app & now the Calling Account Option is there.
A day after that an update to File Manager & sure enough it now can default to the SD Card.
When my phone was locked I always had to swipe to answer or decline a call, now
I can set the default to Buttons. There is another setting that gives me a confirmation Dialog before making a call. It also allows me to set 9 Speed Dial Contacts. The App is 19mb. Googles phone app is 116mb. It does not have RCS Chats but I don’t need that.
