Ars Technica just posted an article that has interesting examples. It goes through sentences that start with “peanut butter and…” and shows how you can get something pretty nonsensical… showing that there is no actual thought/human experience behind the fluent sentences of LaMDA.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that some enterprising people have tried to use the output from these sorts of GPT3 tools to make “creative media” and to attempt to sell it.

As I joked elsewhere, I can actually foresee a future where AI starts producing trashy novels like Harlequin Romance novels. Personally never read one, but my understanding is they’re lite plot wrapped around human sexual experiences… surely someone can tweak an AI to generate “sexual encounter centric” output.
