Absolutely - these ladies represent some of the best technology journalists out there!

I completely forgot: Add Amy Webb to this list , if not as a regular then as a guest, because we need her perspective in this as well.

If you want to know more about Tech TV and G4, the Tech Stuff podcast (another network, not TWiT) devoted their 30 Sep and 2 Oct episodes to the history of those stations.

Regarding a Linux show, agree it could focus on the home / small business user (i.e. not specialist technical). Format might be interesting with a panel of three, one of whom uses Linux every day, the other two being primarily Mac and primarily Windows respectively, to get the perspective for people shifting from existing desktops.

How limited a machine will a particular distro run on? (for people refreshing old hardware for relatives and friends).

Maybe coverage of desktop developments in the Android space too, as both Samsung and Google appear to be trying to add a desktop experience to phones, and it is a variant of Linux. E.g. how practical to go a week using only Dex for desktop tasks?

I like this idea, but my preference would be to broaden it to more than just Linux, even if the panelists are Win/Mac knowledgeable. While Linus has gotten very easy to install, there’s still that “eye-glazing” that I see whenever I mention it to the typical technology user.

As I’m thinking about it - the topic seems to span more than one ‘genre’ (so to speak). Some parts of it would seem appropriate for the old “Know-How” show (like maybe building an SMB-focused Linux server), but others seem FOSS-focused (what kinds of software could I get for economical prices).

I don’t know that there’s enough Linux “news” that would warrant a new dedicated ongoing weekly show. But I see the value in why you’d want something like this.

</div>

How about a show called The Futurist…I feel like there’s a lack of discussion on “the next big thing” or more advanced and out there things in tech.

Also…maybe some of these shows aren’t weekly but monthly…provides flexibility on topics that you could cover that may not have enough content to warrant weekly…just a thought

I would really love a round table show, like the of state of all the platforms… Something like @mikahsargent @Lory @Leo @JasonHowell @ant_pruitt all discussing the state of each platform and the plusses and minuses. It could be a monthly show… Just a suggestion.

For an idea out of the left-field, why not try out a bi-weekly or monthly show that talk about fashion and wearable gear for the tech head & geeks.
Bring on some glamour!!

For example: Stylish hoodies, “well tailored shirt”, smart jackets, nice hats or caps, practical and cool looking sneakers or shoes, backpacks for laptops, drones, cameras, wearable straps, cool phone cases…so many things to talk about and of course with the added flavour of TWiT spices. 😁😁😁
Everyone can be a guest host.
@Leo @JasonHowell @mikahsargent @gigastacey @ant_pruitt @JeffJarvis @thurrott just to name a few…

lol!!! I’m sooo not stylish. Although I do look good in well tailored clothes. REALLY good. 😆

When I’m not wearing business-casual-ish clothes, I’m dressed like Hank Hill 98% of the time.

TWiAT instead of TWiET could stand for This Week in Accessible Tech for all of your blind or low vision viewers, of which I am one, focussing in on Web Accessibility and stuff like that.

Although… there are several shows already that deal with that

I’d like to see a show devoted to how small businesses use computers hosted by people who really use the software, not journalists. The focus would probably lean toward software in the accounting, payroll, productivity, project management, tax, web site development, e-commerce, G-Suite, Office 365, and also block chain, crypto-currency, AI (especially in accounting software), etc.
Some of the companies covered:
Intuit
Xero
Avelara
Salesforce
Slack
Thomson-Reuters
Sage
Box
SmartVault

I would even suggest talking to these guys: [https://www.cloudaccountingpodcast.com/](https://www.cloudaccountingpodcast.com/)

This Week in Tech Bargains. A weekly show with a roundup of where the best bargains are to be had. Could be a large amount of listener/viewer interaction. Where a lot of the deals are suggested by us for the benefit of fellow Twit fans.

A gaming show can easily appeal to a broader audience as the modern game industry is almost indistinguishable from the movie industry.

I listen to the weekly game industry related podcast by the BBC

> **[BBC Radio 5 live - Let's Talk About Tech](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02nrxgq)**
>
> Technology, gaming and web news.

I would like to see a show that focuses on Open Source software for mobile devices because they do not contain adverts and present less security problems.
This area of the tech world is being completely ignored.
