GMail’s killer feature for me is tags because their free-form structure obviates any need for hierarchy, and auto-complete allows me to rapidly apply them as well as to construct queries. I see nothing about tags in Canary Mail, just filters which are limited to meta-data as opposed to user-created metadata like tags. I really want an email program that integrates PGP, but without tags, Canary Mail still isn’t something that could replace GMail for me. Hopefully Apple will finally add proper tagging to Mail…eventually?
I totally agree. Mail tags/label dramatically improve the e-mail handling workflow. Having the tags displayed on each email would be a killer new feature for gmail users
